Forum usage
---------------
- Use the search engine and/or browse the articles section before asking your question. Often times it's been asked and answered before.
- Keep your posts in the appropriate forums. i.e. don't ask questions about guitar amps in the computer hardware forum.
- Don't post the same question across several different forums on the bbs, i.e. 'crossposting'.
- Do not attack other users. Argue and disagree, but abusive name calling, insults, and other such behavior will not be tolerated. Note: discussions that have strayed sufficiently off-topic and have turned into big arguments, e.g. "flame wars", may be locked by a moderator. Do not attempt to continue the argument in any forum but the Aux Bus.
- Posting replies to a large number of old threads or outdated polls such that they move to the top of the forum is disruptive and not permitted.
- Posting a large number of non-sensical threads, disrupting the normal operation of the BBS is not permitted (i.e. Flooding). Similiar to the above.
- Anyone uploading an audio file to MusiciansCollaboration.com must abide by this policy.

Avatars:

Posting/Uploading Audio

- If your audio files are hosted elsewhere, linking to them is of course no problem.

- To upload your audio file, simply attach it to your post via normal means. Please note that there will not be any status indicator as your post (including audio file) is uploading, so be patient! Go make a sandwich or something

- Only MP3, WMA, OGG, APE, AIFF and WAV encoded files can be directly uploaded. Other formats may be considered - please contact us.

- Max upload file size is 50MB.

- NO DIRECT LINKING on other web sites to files uploaded to MC. You may link to your thread from another web page, but not directly to the file itself.

- If you are submitting multiple files for review, please upload them in the same thread. This helps keep the forum less cluttered. Please do not submit more than 3 songs at once per thread.

- Cover songs - if you want to *upload* a cover song, you must abide by the copyright policy posted at the bottom of this message. Any post containing an attached audio file of a cover song must include the following statement:

“I, the poster of this message, which includes an attached audio file containing a cover song or remix, have obtained the necessary permission and/or licensing to do so. I understand that if requested, I must provide proof of said permission to MusiciansCollaboration.com staff within three (3) days. “
