Another oldie given a wonderful spit and polish job, this time through the talents of Frank!!

There's multiple versions of the song, helmed by Frank and Mark (Rotm) who played wonderful guitar parts and mixed their versions (rotm version coming soon).

Groovy drums from Steven and Mark (Drumguy) while SmithC supplied another exceptional vocal performance. It was lovely to hear him sing an old favourite of mine.

Song For William (SmithC/AndyG)
Bpm=135

Willie doesn’t fit
A                                 Bm/A/Bm  (then gtr/bass note run F# A Bb B)
In with the general plan
Bm
Trapped there in a hole
        A                   Bm      A
He’s got no place to turn
G                            A                             F#m11/B
Willie’s point of view differs from yours or mine
G                               A                                 Bm/A/Bm   then gtr/bass note run F# A Bb B
Multi-coloured dreams while ours are black and white

Willie’s not to blame
For the things he says or does
Will he understand
He’ll never be one of us
Willie stands alone an island in the sea
Standing there all alone as lonely as can be

               D      A/C#
A little bit love
                          C        G
With a little bit of love
                          D      A/C#
With a little bit of love
                                   C         G
If we show him that we care

Show we care

Pre-solo: Bm/A/Bm then gtr/bass note run then Bm/A/Bm x2

SOLO : Same notes as intro riff, guitar solos over

Willie’s like a flower
Blooming in the wild
Steady in the garden
Are we the ones who’ve died
Willie’s cast away like a pebble in the sand
Show him empathy and a helping hand

A little bit love
With a little bit of love
With a little bit of love
If we show him that we care
Show we share

Pre-solo: Bm/A/Bm then gtr/bass note run then Bm/A/Bm x2
Outro:  Same notes as intro riff, guitar outro solos over

first, it's a good song.
second, everyone put in a great performance.
third, the mix is right-frickin-on.

rock-n-roll ain't pretty --- that's why they picked us to play it.

Thanks Mark, I am glad you liked this version.

Frank's mix is top drawer, and I like the slight funk feel of the song.
