I just came across this site:

http://www.musotalk.de/best-of-youtube/video/article/musiktheorie-in-der-praxis-phrasierung/

The site is in German, but the videos are English (and you should be able to find them on YouTube too).

Quick translation of the description given on the site:

In this master class of the Berklee School of Music Pat Pattison lectures about phrasing in general and the interdependencies between rhythmic and melodic phrasing. A singer plays her song on the guitar and sings, while Pat continuously makes and explains suggestions about phrasing. The singer tries to put these suggestions into practice, so the audience can easily understand what Pat Pattison talks about. Some astonishing insights into the effects of phrasing.

Regards,
  Steffen

We never finish a mix... we simply abandon them.
You can't polish a turd, but you can always spray paint it GOLD
Great songs are not written, they are re-witten

You may not need it since the vid is actually in English! The text is useless ;)

Some major psychology going on in there, the song made so much more sense when she sang it at the end. Never even thought of this side of vocals before. Thanks Steffen, great vid!
Very funny Spok ... now beam down my trousers.

I ALWAYS think of that stuff when singing, but with no logic behind what I was thinking about. This video really helped!
Songwriter, lyricist, vocalist, guitarist... pretty much in that order! :-)

"preserve the natural shape of the language" the key to remember from the videos...
