Title: Ape files
Post by: Davidinoz on April 28, 2007, 06:42:23 PM
A few people seem to be having trouble with ape files and the whole conversion process. If you have Adobe Audition download and unzip this file to the main Audition directory. You can now "save as" an ape file and also "open" ape files without any need to convert. Not sure if it works with Cool Edit but it's worth a shot I guess.

I've been using that method for over a year now, I think I got it from Bobby at EPS a long time ago.  Works really great, I very rarely use anything else.

I've always used Monkeys Audio. I thought this was the original??  ??? http://www.monkeysaudio.com/  Works super easy. Just find your wav and compress. Works great.

Yes it's specifically for Audition but it may also work with cool edit.
