This is an old singer-songwriter piece of introspection I wrote a few decades back about a broken friendship.  The song has special meaning to me, and I REALLY appreciate the musical contributions of everyone who helped give it life here at MC.

Song Credits:
Drums: DigitalDrummer
Bass: DavidinOz
Lead Guitar: NickT
Harmony Vocal: Jessica Ford (Nashville)
Lead Vocal, Acoustic Guitars and Atmospher Pad: Rob Talbert (Appleluza)

Mixing and Mastering: DavidinOz

LyricsV1
"Take me along," I said, "give it some time."
"I've got a feeling you're all friends of mine."
I had a vision and I was quite sure.
Now, where has it gone?
I got so lost and I could not hold on.

Chorus 1
And here is a song that we used to sing.
I'll sing it through for you one more time.
It's been so long and my memory's dim,
But I hear that song running through my mind again.
It was all that I could do.
I wrote this song for you.

V2
Sending a letter and writing a tune.
I should make Ohio the first week of June.
The man in the mirror said I'm on my way.
But I could not leave.
I was so sad that you did not believe.

Chorus 2
And here is that song that we used to sing.
I'll sing it through for you one more time.
It's been so long and my memory's dim,
But I hear that song running through my mind again.
It was all that I could do.
I wrote this song for you.

V3
What would you give to be gathered again?
I've been an island, so lonely since then.
Coming together in high harmony.
Just to hear you guitar, we would be
Free to be just who we are.

Chorus 3
Here is a song that we used to sing.
I'll sing it through for you one more time.
It's been so long and my memory's dim,
But I hear that song running through my mind again.
It was all that I could do.
I wrote this song for you.

Rob - Thanks for letting me jam on this. I really like the song. Nice job with the vox.

Dave - You did a nice body of production work. nice job lining things up and tightening the vox.

I was glad to get NickT on one of my songs.  Thanks for doing it.

Yeh, David needs to win some kind of MC "special service" award, just for what he has done with my music over the past several months.  I know he has put in a TON of time, but it has really paid off.

Hey Guys

Musta missed this one somehow !

A really nice mix , I like the sound of the guitar...being quite a sparse track really lets each part shine.

The vocals sound much tighter than I'd remembered from earlier in the project.....and no obvious ' tuning ' either....it came out really well.

CD

We never finish a mix... we simply abandon them.
You can't polish a turd, but you can always spray paint it GOLD
Great songs are not written, they are re-witten

NIce one... Preety song and good mix... The vocals is in front of your face, nice indeed.
Live the best you can 'cause you're gonna be dead for a long time.
