Future Junkie
Tricia41/ Vincent (c)2010
Teenage girl in the bathroon stall
In the beginning of her spiral fall
Dont know where and dont know when
a future junkie with the help of her friends
No one saw it coming for this little one
got a little crazy, having too much fun
her mama and daddy's pride and joy
is running around with all the bad boys
its a teenage heartache
Now the avalanche has started
see her daddy's heart break
as his little girl is falling
God only knows
what to do
her life is through
she was on top
but now she'll lose
what to do
you know she doesn't look quite the same
the so-called friends are partly to blame
she only cares how she feels
to a future junkie, friends seem so real
she's on the edge of running away
once she's hooked, what can you say
you wanna turn back the clock
she's slipping, and she won't stop
a teenage heartache
the avalanche has started
feel her mama's heartbreak
watching the girl falling
Only God knows
......why...
is her future a lie?
could've had it all
poor doll
but now she falls

The guitar hook is amazing. You might oughta get a DNA test to see if match up with Jimmy Page. :o

You must have had a hard time putting bass strings on your guitar!! ;D It works. The drums are ok. Too bad you didn't get one of the guys on. The drummers haven't been so present lately. :( The song sounds good. Seems to be lacking something. A bit thin. I think you need some keys to really fill it out. Good tune though.

I will probably redo this in the future when I get the proper recording amp.
Problem with this song was I recorded it on a fender champ 500 5 watt amp however the amp isnt really made for distortion and sounds a bit thin...plus the mixing isnt great on this because the guitar tracks were hard to mix.
I can alway redo song again when I find the right sound.
This is another song that didnt really turn out how I wanted it to however I just finished it to get it out of the way so i can work on better songs.
-
Vincent, are you miking your amp? What mic do you use? ???
-
i did mic an amp for this song...used a shure sm57
-
Hey I would try a bass track for this.
Did you use pitch shift for the bass?
-
Nice lyrics Tricia! Didn't have a chance to check out the song yet but just wanted to say...
-
Thanks Paul, Vincent started these lyrics. He did a great job I just finished off a couple of verses. :)
-
Hey I would try a bass track for this.
Did you use pitch shift for the bass?
I used a preset in amplitube 2 to change guitar into bass.
Im working on a new version of this kenny...I will PM you when I post it in collab section.
-
This song can sound better so Im pulling the mp3 and Im going to start a fresh new collab in hopes of getting people to play on it.
I will post a link when I get it sorted.
