How Many Fingers Am I Holding Up

(V1) One night in this town can feel like a month in jail
and I was needing just a few more rounds.. to spring my bail
But I was short on cash and just a little too tipsy
when I begged the barkeep for more bourbon or whisky
He said  "Son, let's play a game for some alcohol
The loser scrubs my sister's name off the men's room wall

Tell ya what, - I'll pour some rotgut -right here in this glass
just close your eyes- you win the prize- if you can guess

it's a simple little question
shouldn't be that tough

about, just keep pouring the bourbon and you can skip the beer

(V2) After five right guesses, it all  became a blur
They say I was posing as a doctor when I tried to hit on her
She was a pretty little red head but I must have crossed the line
When I said, If you ever need an organ, I'll be glad  to donate mine

Well, those shots of bourbon and Canadian mist
became the brass knuckles on her boyfriend's fist
I banged a booth, spit a tooth...the room began to spin
I guess I looked pathetic, when that paramedic,  fin'lly came in
and said...

Hi Couch,
I couldn't tell you what the ingredients should be to make a Country hit
but this sure put a smile on my face and by the second verse I was singing right along.  :)
