This collab means a lot to me! I wrote this song a couple of months ago. The chorus came to me while shoveling snow in my driveway. ;D
Thanks Snowdoguk and Stoman for jumping in early and getting the ball rolling!
Andy rescued me on bass and Albino wowed me with those drums.
Thanks guys! 8)

See You Around
Tricia Dovidio (c)2011
Verse 1:
Bm A
In one weak moment, I brought you into my world
Bm A
I let you be you, not knowing who that was
Bm A
in short order, I saw how evil you were
Bm G
I laid down the law, and you writhed as a demon does
Prechorus:
A G
I didn't know you saw yourself as such a big deal
A E
and you didn't know that I held the wheel
G A
you learn as you go............so go
Chorus:
D A G
you didn't slip through my fingers, I threw you down
D A G
you're like a poison in a vessel, I spit you out
A G Bm
you're a bad seed, I don't need- see you around
verse2:
I'm hard to get over, but you'll soon move on to the next
at first meeting, their arms will be open wide
it won't take long, they'll see you're not what you suggest
a line is drawn, and you run to the darker side
Prechorus:
they don't know that you think you're on top
and you don't know they call the shots
live and learn... you'll burn
Chorus:
you didn't slip through my fingers, I threw you down
you're the poison in a vessel, I spit you out
you're a bad seed, I don't need- see you around
bridge:
E
you hold yourself in high esteem
G
the only thing revolving around you
A
are your insane dreams and
G A
multiple personalities
Chorus:
you didn't slip through my fingers, I threw you down
you're like a poison in a vessel, I spit you out
you're a bad seed, I don't need- see you around

Love the lyrics, Tricia! Great chorus.
My 9 year old son, Harry says "That's a catchy beat, Dad". Thought I'd pass that on too. :)

Hi Tricia,
Good to see this one finished and posted here.
This song has one of your most catchy chorus hooks and is coupled with a great singing performance.
Solid playing from Mike (great little guitar licks), Steve (super drumming) and Steffen (nice little organ touches during the bridge btw).
The mix/production sounds great, we all know how hard we made Steffen work for it ::).
On to the second song then ;).
Thanks for having me along!
Cheers
Andy

Hey Tricia,
Wow, this sounds like the cut off some long lost, "Pat Benatar" album...All freshened up, and made new. :)

Great song Tricia.
Everybody, thanks for letting me play on this track and what a fantastic performance you all put in.
Professional mix and atmospheric synth by Steffen, a Solid bass from Andy and virtuoso Guitar from Mike, great playing from you both BTW. And a solid rock chick delivery from Tricia coupled with you're great songwriting talents, has created a very polished professional sound song.
Once again, thank you. :)

Awesome Tricia, when I hear your belt out a song like this, it's enough to make a wannabe singer(me) go back to just writing lyrics. ;)
You have a whole lot to be proud of, the only difference between you and a successful singing career is someone discovering you - and I'll be damned if we're gonna tell anyone, and risk losing another singer! ;D ;D
I'm not leaving you guys out either (Andy, Mike, Steffen, and Steve) 8) 8)
The whole production was rock-solid.
-
Very cool song Tricia and very well sung.... thanks for letting me be part of it
-
Thanks Mr. MOM- You're too kind! I"M OLD! That's why I'm here! ;D
You guys who played on this are too modest!!! 8) 8)

Some more comments:
Ferryman:
This is very well put together Steffen. It's a great pop/rock track anchored round an excellent vocal performance and as always, for something with so many collaborators, it sounds really tight! I like the "jingly" synth part over some of the changes, a very nice touch.
I guess this may be a bit personal as far as Tricia is concerned......?
Cheers, Nigel
Dave Berry:
Beautifully recorded.....its like a classic Heart song from the day
Tim Green:
Real class in all departments, and a big, polished production. Love the bitterness of the lyrics and excellent vocal delivery - very convincing! Lol. This should be a hit.
:)
Regards,
Steffen

Tricia, you've been writing some really nice songs and delivering them with confidence. Another nice job.

Thanks so much! :) :)
I'm having a hard time keeping a band together to gig...
I'm thinking about writing some for another local band who's gigging.

This is really a great song. Great performance and pro sounding !!!
des0free:
Very pro sounding mix and playing, and singing!
I love this lyric: "You didn't slip through my fingers, I threw you down"
In other words, "I kicked you to the curb", as we say here.
Redler:
You've captured the 80's feel very well! Well produced and the chorus is very catchy - yes, perfect 80's chorus! I love this!!
Kari
Ken:
you can really hear the 80's in this track! I'm reminded of a band called "Toronto", although I haven't heard them for years, so probably going by memory and they may be nothing like this in reality.
Cool song!
Regards,
Steffen
