Our own tribute to Deep Purple, specifically Throw My Bones From the new album Whoosh! (video of original (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QUW7PvvbbO4))
- Vocals/Guitar/Mastering: George Williams (napoleonboot)
- Keyboards/Mix: Gary Miller (gbm)
- Bass: Andy Gupta (AndyG6508)
- Drums: Stephen Smith (Albino)
I am very proud of the end result, all the guys gave great performances and were a pleasure to work with (again). We are also pleased to have added a proper ending, the original fades out! >:D Cheap Purple are of course available for Weddings and Bar Miztvahs, global pandemics notwithstanding.
Throw My Bones - lyrics
I don't know what lies ahead
It's all a mystery man, I heard it said
You do your thing, you do your best
I take a guess at what happen next
All I've got is what I need
And that's enough, as far as I can see
Why should I walk into the great unknown
When I can sit here, and throw my bones
I hear the future is so divine
But I'll just wait until I get a sign
'Cause what I've got here, what I'm holding in my hand
Is better for me than some promised land
All I've got is what I need
And that's enough, as far as I can see
Why should I walk into the great unknown
When I can sit here and throw my bones
What's the rush (yeah), who's to say?
You can't escape tomorrow, it's another day
I'm hanging here, I'm here on solid ground
'Cause heaven's full, or closing down
All I've got is what I need
And that's enough, as far as I can see
Why should I walk into the great unknown
When I can sit here and throw my bones
Oh yeah

Andy, we've probably done getting on for a hundred songs together, and your playing and sound was better than ever on this. :)
As always, it's a pleasure to work with you.
-
great job all! Andy's bass super tight, Steves Drums spot on, George's guitars I'm impressed that you played this so well. Better than Morse. I barely touched Andy's bass part, just slid a couple notes to fit better, and a few notes on the guitar solo. Vocals are great. Didn't have to touch Steves drums at all. Everything fell into place.
Nicely done all.
