An Absolute Truth
Lyrics: Tricia Dovidio 2008
Vs 1:
I made a mistake-
didn't know what I had
I was lured away
by a fantasy
so i'm askin' today
for one more chance
to prove I'm sorry,
and I'm still me
Ch:
whatever it takes Ill prove it to you
this is an absolute truth
give me one chance
to show the proof
vs 2:
way too much time
that we spent apart
for a moment it seemed
I lost sight of the goal
that's when he came along
stealing my heart
his love was a lie
never gave him my soul
Ch:
whatever it takes Ill prove it to you
this is an absolute truth
give me one chance
let me show the proof
Br:
And oh, you won't have to hear my voice
my actions will speak louder now
Vs3:
you're here today
land I see in your eyes
our love is
an absolute truth
ch:
whatever it takes Ill prove it to you
this is an absolute truth
give me one chance, I'll show you
whatever it takes Ill prove it to you
this is an absolute truth
our love, baby, is an absolute truth

Sounds really good Tricia...I like it..where did you recod & Mix it ? The vocals sound better ( acoustically speaking ) than the ones recorded in the wardrobe. Mix is nice too.

Thanks. I did record this in the same closet. I'm not sure what mixing software he uses. I haven't met him face to face yet. We will meet at the next songshoot to perform this live. :) Thanks for checking it out!

I like this a lot Tricia. I like everything about it. The song is crafted well, good lyrics, good instrument playing, well mixed and your vocals are spot on. They say you sound like Ann Wilson. I hear a bit of that but it sounds like you own your place on this one. This track is going in my "Play-a-lot" playlist. Good job.
-
Indeed, well produced. Get him to join us! :)
Well done, both of you!

Steffen

Wow, really? I'm so glad you like it! :) I will feel better about singing it live with Scott in March. :)
This lyric was recycled. I submitted it for an audition on another site long ago, and the composer rejected it, so I saved it, and slightly altered it for this music.

Nice tune! The melody totally fits the style. Tricia you nailed it. I love your partner's rhythm guitar. And a good, solid, upfront mix. I'm going to listen to it again!

Tricia,
Missed this little gem!!
I think this song is great - lovely warm vocal and great intrumentation backing.
Sounds very 70s IMO - and I like that!
Love the way you sing the hook as well - almost like a female George Harrison in the mid70s.
Keep them coming

Nice song and an awesome video! Have to say that you did look a tad uncomfortable there, but for no reason ... you did a great job!
That's a big closet if you can get all those people in there :)
