Well, here's the next offering. It started with some fantastic lyrics from Paul and the germ of a riff from yours truly. Al put some brill drums on it, which really brought it to life while AndyG did his usual magic on bass :) Then from left-field came Steve's vocals .... completely different to what was originally in my head, but I can't imagine this any other way now ... and it takes this to a whole new level - brilliant ;D To top it all, after much to-ing and fro-ing, Vincent came up with a wonderfully atmospheric mix - finishes it all off beautifully.
Thanks to all for your talents in bringing this song to life and to let it breathe.
Here it is :D
Guitars - AndyD
Bass - AndyG
Drums - Albino
Vocals - Pleasuredome
Mix/production - Vincent
Lady Macbeth
Lyrics - By PVD
Music - AndyD
(v1)
The winds howled high on the hill
Dampness crept in carrying a chill
Rains poured down, streets ran red
Bloodied hands so much to dread
Memories of death I can't shed
I sleep alone but I feel Macbeth
(v2)
I hear commands they echo still
She pushed me, forced me to her will
A calculated evil plan
She knew the ending before it began
Ghosts of death silently stand
How do you sleep, Lady Macbeth
(chorus)
I stood for a moment
As he greeted death
I did her bidding
He drew his last breath
Behind me, she smiled
Like Lady Macbeth
(v3)
Guilt was interrupted by a knock at the door
They rushed in; threw me to the floor
I was dragged outside, I could see her there
She screamed out, that's him I swear
Under my breath I whispered a prayer
I was standing alone but felt Macbeth
(v4)
Sitting in my cell I'm covered in shame
While she walks free escaping blame
What I've done I can't defend
As I count down the days till the end
On my date with death I'll make amends
My empathy is with Macbeth
(chorus)
I stood for a moment
As he greeted death
I'd done her bidding
He drew his last breath
Behind me, she smiled
Like Lady Macbeth

It is so good to see this in the finished section. I have been blasting this in the car, just love how it came together with everyone's efforts, again Steve's vocals were made for this.
One of my favs. Thanks for picking up the lyric.

Damn - I knew there was something else that needed to be done ;) hehehehehehe
but seriously - the mix came together great in the end. The tremelo adds an extra dimension as do all those weird sounds behind the guitar fills .... very atmospheric :)
