Here's an oddball tune that finally came together with help with lyrics from MM & Noel
Enjoy!
I catch the rays
Trace the breeze
Smell the ocean over me
With sand sifting slow
Through my toes
I paint the sky
The birds I see
Flying circles gracefully
But how will I know
Where they go
The sun is setting soon
My sun is setting soon
But oh you worry, not today
'cause its Sunday
A stroke of blue
Edged in white
Ebbing beauty from the light
Orange red maroon
I brush the dunes
From my eyes
A farewell tear I will cry
But somehow they know
I must go
No more looking back
We walk the beach
Feel the water
Lap our feet
And it's cool
How the blue sky makes us feel alive
Cause it's Sunday

REALLY nice song Ray. Kind of reminds me of Supertramp, with a touch of Beatles and a lot of you. Some cool changes. Most of the songs around here I'll just open up to listen but when I see one of yours I automatically save knowing I'm going to dig it. Geez. I think I have close to an albums worth of your tunes now. Anyways another nice tune bro. 8)

Ray,
I think it sounds awesome... And I'm glad I could jump into one where you needed a hand... You dug out a few of my lyrics from the CC abyss a year ago and have continued to pick them up along the way (as well as many other lyricists work)... Much appreciated...
I'm not a big Beatles fan, but the "orange red maroon" screamed Beatles to me when I wrote it... and your delivery proved it...
I hope in the end it was what you were looking to convey in the song... life's a beach, but it must go on...
Cheers,
Mike

Just listened again. I forgot about this song.
This is just freakin' great.
Mike and noel - lyrics are very trippy.
This is just a joy to listen to.
