Title: Out Of The Darkness (Rock version) (SmithC/AndyG/Docmidnite/Thunder/Argle)
Post by: AndyG6508 on November 14, 2012, 02:13:55 PM
This is specially nice...a collaboration with my old band mate SmithC, who makes his MCS debut with this one.

We had written this song some years ago, on a piano (hence the large no of chords!!), about a girl Smith used to know.

The original version was a ballad (which is being worked upon separately, as is an unplugged version) but sometime during the collab process a decision was made to do a rocker version of this. Then stepped in Henry who played a major role in arranging this version with his meaty guitar work and wonderful solos evoking the spirit of Sykes. Then Thunder played a incredible drums part channeling his inner Cozy. Smithie put in a heartfelt vocal, and then mix meister Argle mixed this beautifully to create a clear punchy mix!!

I hope you enjoy the listen, and Smithie, congratulations in completing your first collaboration on MCS. First of many more to come I am sure!!

And thanks guys..once again!

Thanks so much Todd, your drumming was absolute tops..right from the beginning splash entry to the rocking snares to the last drum drop (I particularly like the ending) ...a blazing rhythm indeed!

Really cool... It's amazing how music can be elastic... I'm tracking the ballad version and had a first listen at this one  :o
