This is a song I wrote back in 2005 after Hurricane Katrina.  I would like to dedicate it to all the Hurricane victims and survivors and to anyone who has had to face rebuilding their life after a devastating personal disaster.

I may hold the record for longest time required to complete a collaboration - I started this in October 2006 on this board. (There are a lot of really GOOD reasons why this took a long time, but the honest truth is I work slow and I procrastinate :) )

This song came to life through the contributions of some very talented people:

Stuntman (Nick Church, UK - Musicians Collaboration) sang lead vocals
GuitarGeorge (George Williams, UK - Musicians Collaboration) played lead guitar
Lindy (Artist Collaboration) played piano
Davidinoz (David Timson, Australia - MusiciansCollaboration) played bass
Monica Dillon (New Orleans, USA) sang backing vocals
Frank Basile (USA, LiveStudioDrums) played drums
Rob Talbert (Washington DC, USA - MusiciansCollaboration) played acoustic guitar
CosmisDolphin (UK - MusiciansCollaboration) mixed and mastered

Faith, Hope and GravityV1
A war is raging.
Hungry children go unfed.
There is a darkness on the land
Where the innocent has bled.

And there is a sadness here,
And pain we carry day by day.
How do we bear it?
How do we find our way?

Chorus
When the road ahead lies hidden in uncertainty,
When the winds of disillusion whirl us around,
When everything we've built is torn apart and beaten down,
It's just faith, hope and gravity that keep us on the ground.

V2
Your heart is heavy.
Your back is bending with the weight
Of all you carry.
Every fear, regret and hate.

Maybe you're not the strong one.
You never sought the hero's place.
How can you carry on?
Where is your saving grace?

Chorus

Bridge
We have burdens in our lives, they make us stronger.
Sharing trials, we can learn to help each other.
When your path is steep
And you believe
That you can walk no longer,
Just take one step, then take another.

Chorus

A truly International piece of work and a great song Rob...

The mix slotted together easily thanks to a good arrangement and came together easily.

Great performances all round.

Here's to the next one  :)

Interesting list of players. Sounds good.
Nice bass runs Dave. I like the piano and the vocals.
a touch of Eagles perhaps.

It's nice as it is. probably one thing in the future that I should do more myself too. Leave room in-between for dynamics. It's a touch too much info without spaces. And the bridge perhaps in the future ad more of a step and fill into the bridge. It's alright as is but when compared to super great winners in most cases the
structure is well worked out with a wine tooth comb.

The lead guitar tone and playing really works well. A nice song though  8)

Congats in any regard. Nice Country feel.

I've been playing this quite alot in the car and decided it needed a bit more warmth at the bottom end and a touch less treble , so here is my alternative remastered version...see what you think.

Sounds nice, CD.  I'll do an A-B comparison listen when I get back from my trip on Tuesday, but what you put up sounds very good.
