Be What I Can Be (Roger, Andy, LD57, Mark, Jay, Ken, CD)

This is a song I originally pieced together using acoustic guitar samples, but everyone involved really took it to another level. To start with, LD57 wrote some great lyrics to go with Andy's "Be What I Can Be" idea. Andy also did some fine bass on the song and I added the electric guitar parts. Mark came up with an awesome vocal melody and great lead vocals. Jay then added some really cool piano and very nice Hey Joe style backing vocals. Throw Ken in with some funky drums and a stellar mix by CD and BLAMMO, you got a great little tune Thanks to everyone involved! I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. You have written some fine songs - but this one has to be one of my top favs.

Its wonderful how the song progressed.


There are so many things I love about this song:

1. Riggo's slide guitar work - super tone and tasty tasty licks/runs.
2. Robert's lyrics - so wonderfully witty and with that f.... off attitude
3. Marks' vocal - fits this like a glove - great singing with lots of cool f... off attitude too
4. HDA's keys rippling thru the song and the heavenly hey Joe menace in the backing vox
5. Kens space drumming - cool man!
6. Last but not in the least, CD's super mix - clear with lots of bounce and power. And he did make my bass part sound much better than it actually is

Roger - I believe Holger was instrumental is coming up with part of the original melody as well..

ANyways, it was a pleasure to be part of this song!!
