Title: For Then You Are With Me - Billy, Mimmo, Errol
Post by: Errol on January 04, 2015, 08:26:41 PM
Guitars & Synth - Billy
Words, music & vocals - Errol
Mix - Christian Nesmith
Alt Version Vocals - Mimmo

I resurrected this song after writing it several years ago. Or I should say Billy resurrected with his superb guitars. I feel incredibly honoured to have Billy play on any of my songs. Christian Nesmith (talented son of Monkee, Mike) did the mix. Mimmo's alt vocal version is also. His smooth effortless vocal delivery nails it.

The sun ignites the fire
Of the highlights in your eyes
And when they sparkle just for me
I am dazzled

When I lie so close to you
There is no need to dream
For a dream can never be
So tranquil

And when I see your face
So sculptured full of grace
There is nothing I can do
But to love you

When I touch your skin
So softly with my lips
Nothing else exists
For that moment

You're welcome, Errol. A fine song.

Sounds very well mixed indeed.

All the best,

Billy.

Beautiful!

Christian chose a nice delay/reverb combination to bring out your voice perfectly, Errol.

Mimmo's version would sound better with the same (or a similar) room IMO, but still his voice suits the song very well too. I could not pick a favorite if I had to. Both versions sound awesome.

Great songwriting, great guitar, and very well done by everybody!
