Yeah man, Another song done.  :) This one turned out to be a bit of rocker. Had a lot of fun making this tune. Curtis, killer vocals as usual. Ken, best sounding drums yet !! and  Lindy really laid it out on the keys. Fun stuff!!  8)

Great words. Perfect for a tune of this energy.  :)

Cosmic, Thanks man for all the pain of having to put this together. I think in the end we got a good tune that I crank up loud and feel good about. Special thanks man.  ;)

Curtis Downey - Lyrics & Vocals
David Patterson - Original music, guitars & bass
Lindy Mack - Piano & Organ
Ken Grover - Drums
Mark Morgan-Shaw - Mix & Master

The One I Like
(c) 2008 Curtis Downey

Verse 1
I kinda like the way you walk
and I love to watch you glide
I really like to hear you talk
and I can feel your thoughts inside

Pre-chorus
Some things about you take me higher
other things just fill me up with fire

Chorus
Fast talkin', slow walkin'
easy on the eyes
hot and heavy, gettin' sweaty
she's the one I like

Verse 2
I can't forget the way you shake
when you start to overload
you make me loose each breath I take
when you take off all your clothes

Pre-chorus
Some things about you take me higher
other things just fill me up with fire

Chorus
Fast talkin', slow walkin'
easy on the eyes
hot and heavy, gettin' sweaty
she's the one I like

Bridge
When she walks in everything else dissapears
Nothing seems to matter, everything is so clear
She's the one I like

Pre-chorus
Some things about you take me higher
other things just fill me up with fire

Chorus
Fast talkin', slow walkin'
easy on the eyes
hot and heavy, gettin' sweaty
she's the one I like

(SOLO)

Pre-chorus
Some things about you take me higher
other things just fill me up with fire

Chorus
Fast talkin', slow walkin'
easy on the eyes
hot and heavy, gettin' sweaty
she's the one I like

Thanks everyone, this was a fun song to do.  Glad to see it finished.  This was another one of those that Dave started the thread by saying that this one would be hard to sing to, so like usual, I wanted to prove him wrong >:D.  It turned out great.

Take it all with a grain of salt. Opinions are just that. I respect the opinions of the fellow MCS crowd more as we all have fickle ears.   >:D

Wow
I found this one after reading your reply to my post. I can see you really know what you're talking about. The instruments are well placed in the mix and sound tight.
Good classic rock song.

Great song
Welcome, you will no doubt become a favorite in short order. Great production, writing, and performance. Pro without a doubt.
Peace
( Is that your tele? )

the mix is perfect!
good powerful song...
guitar work is very good
the lyrics and vocals are great
just enough of a taste of piano that it's not overpowering the song...
a very good rock tune, my friend!
keep up the great work!

wow - Great rocker - terrific vocals, instrumentation, mix - the whole kit and kaboodle (?)!

Great
The production is beautiful on this. I would love to here some girl
backup singers on this one.

oh cant you smell
cant you smell that smell yes yes heavy and sweaty a bass that needs a hug... clear as a bell... love the laugh.. fast talkin' hot and heavy it sticks to your soul. A great rocker thanks!

Slick!
excellent tune. it has a great classic '70's rock groove that's bold and in your face. great performance by all.

So many great things about this track. Well done all around, course you probably already know that. Thanks for sharing this fun tune. That laugh in the middle is great. I think female back up vocals could be fine, probably just shouldn't be singing the words. Some nice oohs and ahs could give us a taste of what this lady is like. ROckin tune, thanks!

It's easy to get words bro. What matters is how WE feel about the tune in the end. I always feel things could be better. I always hear how I would do things different. That's what keeps us making more. I'd rather hear comments on the nitpick stuff rather than 'wow, what a great tune'.  ;D
