Title: Hey Paulie
Post by: Tricia41 on March 12, 2013, 05:57:29 AM
Hey Paulie
written and sung by Tricia
Arrangement, guitars, bass, mix and master- Andreas Glummert
Piano- Paulo Gomes
Drums- Todd Vierra

Hey Paulie
Tell me something good today
We're tuning in bright and early
to hear what you got to say

and Paul...
We love it when you're on fire
something in the news, lit your fuse
got us hanging on the wire

Chorus:
Hey Paul Westscott, You're on the inside
and we don't wanna do without
your finger is on the political pulse
tell us what it's all about

 and maybe...
you might make us laugh
with pork and beans, and a side of cheese
to keep our day on track

Chorus:
Hey Paul Westscott, You're on the inside
and we don't wanna do without
your finger is on the political pulse
tell us what it's all about
Paul knows what it's all about

Thanks so much for all your hard work Glummi! and Todd and Paulo! Paul loved it!

Thanks everybody!

Nice little song- still love it, despite I've listened far more than 148 times or so..... during mixing. Feeling encouraged to learn to play guitar! Till yet, no wonder, I tend to use only 4 strings..... :)

Attached a high gloss version of the final mix.

Than YOU, this is all based on a brilliant idea!
BTW, don't forget your video camera when you perform it at open mic! :)

Oh and Paul Westcott needs to make this his theme song when going to and from commercials. Rush uses a Chrissie Hynde song. Paul can use a Tricia song.

And by the way...Glummi...the leads are great.
You played exactly what fit. Playing anymore than that is just showing off anyway.

Again...great job on a great tune

Oh thanks! I wrote it about a New Hampshire talk radio host that I used to listen to. sadly, he left the area and now works in Massachusetts, so I don't listen as often. He is a funny guy and he liked this song. I met him in person after I wrote it.

I can, and I do sometimes, but he talks about Massachusetts news mostly. I like hearing local stuff in the morning. I was sad that he left. Jack Heath took his place, and he is not awesome, lol.

on my drive into work tonight i discovered one of the area radio stations is now carrying Paul Westcott in the evening. I'm gonna have to start making it a point to tune in on my way to work from now on.

by the way...still a killer tune...

Tremendous tune. :) Good lyric, catchy melody, strong vocals (nice, Tricia ;) ), all coupled with tight keys, drums, and guitar.
Fine collab, everyone. :)

(Now I'm going to check out Paul's site. ;) )
