Music - Ray Sharp
Lyrics - Lisa S Bennett

What Have I Done

(Verse I)

How can I survive
The fall from your grace
Dropped to my knees
By the look on your face
Soft lines now hardened
From contempt and distaste
Tell me what have I done
What condemned me this fate

(Bridge)

Explain to me
Because I really don't know
The reason you feel
You need to hurt me so

(Chorus)

What have I done
To cause such a change
In you
Icy stare numbing me
Chilling me through
What have I done
To cause such a storm in your eyes
Tell me what have I done
To deserve your despise

(Verse II)

How can I survive
The fall from your grace
Your voice once so sweet
Now poison laced
How can I stop my heart
From burning to ashes
The fiery sting of your tongue
As it whips and it lashes

(Bridge)

(Chorus)

(Verse III)

Now that I've fallen
And lay on the floor
Please leave me in pieces
And hurt me no more
Let me lay here in peace
Hurt me no more
Because I still don't know what I did
But you see what you've done

Nice job Ray and Lisa.

Very cool feel to this one.

Great sound. I enjoyed that. Did you do all the claps Ray?

What more can I say but you people are inspiring and make great music.

I always like to comment in detail. Not "One" word or phrases. Only if I were a Paper-Back Writer hey?

First I must say this is a perfect example of Lisa's great writing combined with Ray's talented touch . I am listening while writing and, this sort of vocal phasing came across the head set. Excellent. This is VERY catchy. Everything about it is cool. I like the piano and the melody & chords that the keys are doing. Ray this phasing thing. Wow! Your are very Artistic. Oh Know! Competition. I am getting tired of that.

It has sort of a modern feel and there is this sort of Teen Bop-ish feel to some extent. I would like to know who is playing the drums? Guess you are another great bass player.

Lisa you are moving up in the world...

What have you done... You went and did it again...

Congratulations are in order

TOP NOTCH

What more can I say but these folks inspire and are on fire.

The award of Excellence is well earned

Thanks Nick and Tubes,

Your comments are much appreciated...though they have me blushing a bit...lol.

As I was writing this I thought it would need some melancholy, kind of broody music...I'm glad I kept an open mind and didn't pigeon hole it.  I think Ray's upbeat music makes a great contrast to the lyrics themselves...and it works.

Ray,

Thank you for taking a chance and working with my lyrics...as I said before, you've really done a fab job!!

Lisa

Tubes, On 95% of my tunes I use Drums On Demand

Ray I have other brands that are really good. But I heard those and they are Fab. I use a combo of the real thing or the pre arranged loops if I have to do it myself. Cool.
