A 'rock" version of this song......I was looking for a chance to redo the bass, and get real drums.

This time around, George contributed super vocals and guitars, while Paulo once again helmed the producers seat and this punchy mix is the result.

Check out the guitar and keys solos, both are fantastic.

Thanks guys!

Show Your Face (c) 2009, 2015

(v1)
Am
Too much stress, too little rest
Making us dysfunctional today
Maybe it's a curse as we wait for the worst
While sanity slips away
D
Welcome to century twenty-one
Who knows what went wrong
Am
Flower Power replaced by guns
When we turned our backs so long

Chorus
Em
If anybody's out there
 D
Come on out and show your face
Am                C
Call off this mindless marathon
                D         Am
Or we'll lose the human race
   Em
If anybody's out there
D
Come on out and show your face
Am                          C
Please rearrange the panorama
D                                         Em
Stop the deadly psychodrama yeah

(v2)
With a pace this fast, we can't last
Feels like it's already Hell
Hopes and dreams spill through the seams
Hear the tolling of the bell?
Effexor, Zoloft, needles and pills
Crime scenes everywhere
Booze and drugs, a life that kills
Violence poisons the air

Chorus
If anybody's out there
Come on out and show your face
Call off this mindless marathon
Or we'll lose the human race

If anybody's out there
Come on out and show your face
Please rearrange the panorama
Stop the deadly psychotdrama

Bridge
         C           G
If it's not over soon
        Dm             Am
We'll colonise the moon
      C                          D                        Am
Our spacecraft and our freighters and our probes
          C                       G
Will all fill those ancient craters
             Dm               Am
With the sad debris of men
          C          D               Em
Who'll destroy themselves again

Chorus
If anybody's out there
Come on out and  show your face
Call off this mindless marathon
Or we'll lose the human race

If anybody's out there
Come on out and show your face
Please rearrange the panorama
Stop the deadly psychodrama

Too much stress  ;D...

... Not really, it was very smooth...

... Good and clean tracks and easy people is 90% the way...

... The other 10% is just pushing and pulling some buttons  ;)
Live the best you can 'cause you're gonna be dead for a long time.
Respect

This was a hoot.

Rightonthemark - up until 2008 I only played guitar here (and elsewhere) - then Andy (playing bass here) persuaded me to do some vocals, and since then it's become my main thing.
George can often be found playing stringy things, and singing...

Cool song guys, Paulo's trademark keyboard solo and nice vocals George, you sound different...more head voice than belting it out of the chest voice.

Mix sounds balanced but a bit bass light and a tad crispy to me, probably nothing that can't be fixed with some master EQ

CD
We never finish a mix... we simply abandon them.
You can't polish a turd, but you can always spray paint it GOLD
Great songs are not written, they are re-witten

Thanks CD... The funny thing is that the original mix had more low end and I removed it, lol...

Probably my ears were tired at that time.

Cool track, guys.

A great hi-energy rocker with a totally rollicking vocal performance from George.

Everyone sounds great on this......excellent mix, Paulo.

Billy.

Wow, guys! What a great little - or big ;) - rocker.  :) Really fine take on this older song.
(Can't believe the original was from 6 years ago. :o )

Excellent work all round, lads. :)
