Thanks to Andy for having interest in finishing a few of my songs lately. He started work on this one which I wrote with kinda crazy diminished chords!
Paulo came in and saved us! haha, He added a few new chords and beautiful instruments and drums.
Henry put in cool guitar and backup vocals.
Then we were ready for Andy's bass line.
Great job men! Very sweet.
Mix master, keys, drums, sax- Paulo Gomes
Guitars, backup vocals- Henry Mittnacht
Bass- Andy Gupta
Vocal- Tricia Dovidio
Easier for Me to Leave
Tricia DOvidio (c)2010
Something just hit me
in the middle of the day
suddenly overcome
by what you didn't say
it's taken me till now
to let it all sink in
I'm figuring it out
there's no argument to win
I know you tried to fool me
I see your game
This is what I needed
anyway
So thank you For hurting me
Thanks for your deceit
thanks, cos you just made it
so much easier for me
to leave
words carefully chosen
on both sides
there's a deeper meaning
we both hide
we're very different people
time has shown
yet you won't completely
to let me go
I know you tried to fool me
I see your game
This is what I needed
anyway
So thank you For hurting me
Thanks for your deceit
thanks, cos you just made it
so much easier for me
to leave
afraid to make each other mad
afraid of what we'd lose
holding on for selfish reasons
simply won't do
I know you tried to fool me
I see your game
This is what I needed
anyway
So thank you For hurting me
Thanks for your deceit
thanks, cos you just made it
so much easier for me
to leave

An irresitable vocal performance over chords pretty unusually used in pop combined with under-your-skin-creaping lyrics... BAM!
-
Nice song indeed... Weldone all involeved, the best is yet to come.
-
Absolutely super performances from you three - Tricia sings like an angel here, the Doc lays some cool supporting guitar parts (nice intro flourish) and we all know Paulo's talents in arranging and playing with a great sax solo thrown in!
Thanks for letting me play a small part.
Shine on.

Andy,
YOU played the biggest part on this... Let's not forget that the initial arrangement was made by you and almost everything was done around it ;)
-
Nice tune guys
Tricia , probably one of your best vocals yet. the mix and arrangement work really well

Great job and the dim chords weren't crazy as they just added to the already dark tone established by the minor key! I listened over FB! Good job! Don't know why, but I got a Cher vibe (her slower tunes)
Everything sound wonderful from top to bottom

Thanks Mark and Rus!

Great job everyone! Great song!
I remember hearing an early draft of this and thought, "Wow! This should turn out great." It did :). Very nice vocals, Tricia!
