must have played these chord changes a hundred times over the years, but, they seemed so natural, now, for Donna's lyrics..... chord pattern is old time blues. must have been around for decades, i learned them in the late 60's..
keeping the tune true to the original idea was our objective... after, some back & forth, we landed a sweet mix.
wish, vocal performance could have been as good as the music & mix......
thank you, Donna, for sending over the lyrics... i took what i read to heart & tried to make for you, your words, a sulky blues tune... i took the liberty to write up your lyric's to include the few places where i went adlib... i kept as close to your lyric's as i could.....

you got the idea & tapped out some fine notes... & i love the way Doc, decided to get your work, upfront, in final mix....

Hey guys, you've gotta a nice "Taj Mahal" blues thing going on here with this song. Nice production and authentic performances really bring to life Donna's super lyrics.
Catfish - I love your 'clearing your throat' at the start...I just can't imagine a Simon Cowell production allowing such a thing......love it.
