Lyrics by April Knoll
All music, arrangement and vocals by Dave Cooper (@warfydave)

Be My Girl

1st verse
You’re beautiful
As that first day
I put a face to the name
My sister swore
You’d be my type
It was love at first sight

2nd verse
I picked you up
That Friday night
Then headed to the bonfire
My buddies swore
I’d gone insane
But I showed no shame….when I asked you

1st Chorus
Be my girl
Be my girl
Be my girl tonight

3rd verse
Now here we are
Class of ‘68
With friends of the past we celebrate
You’re looking fine
In that red dress
To this day you steal my breath

2nd Chorus
You’re my girl
You’re my girl
You’re my girl this time

Bridge
Nice and easy it seems
You are the girl of my dreams
My dreams

4th verse
We raise our glass
To memories
And share what happened to our dreams
But I can’t help
Staring in your eyes
What do you say we spark that light?

3rd Chorus
You’re still my girl
You’re still my girl
You’re still my girl after all this time

Not bad, it could probably use a little variation rather than the acoustic guitar playing the same thing all the way through though.

The mix sounds a bit rough & ready but has it's charms

i like the intimate feel of the tune.
but i agree with CD --- could use a little something else.
