Great cover Paulo of a great song.

I saw them on the tour in the Edinburgh Odeon and Blackmore just stared at the ceiling all night......he looked seriously pissed........he left not long after if I remember rightly. A big clue is that the support band were Elf (with Ronnie James Dio!)!!

Thanks guys.

Pleasuredome, did you ever seen balckmore looking not pissed?, LOL. it's a shame because this guy was really special, he still is special, one knows exacly when he's playing, nobody else plays like him.

As for ELF, Ritchie Blackmore left the guitarist alone. The first Rainbow's album is ELF, except for the guitarist.

I just finished listening to Carolina County Ball in iTunes (by Elf).  It's really funny to hear Ronny James Dio singing almost show tune like material :)  He's a great singer!

my band opened for Blackmore. He wanted to cancel us (two openers) and only gave us about 5' from the end of the stage. 35 minute set.

Yes he is a prick....but plays well. Was my guitar hero before that night.

My band opened for Whitesnake back in 1986, it was great being on the back stage with Lord, Coverdale and Paice, I love those guys, one shot in a million for a littlel band made up of only some kids.
And it was great playing for 12000 people, although they were really there for The Snakes, not me LOL.
