BREAKFAST

Hey Girl, let me butter your bread.
Or griddle up some pancakes, ...maybe waffles instead

Drippin hot with syrup, they're a steamy delight
They're so sweat and fluffy, cuz I whip 'em up right

A big ole glass of orange juice, I squeezed it fresh for you
And strained away the pulp, though I missed a chunk or two

Double slice of bacon, crispy, hot and lean
I fried 'em in the skillet, then ground dem coffee beans

I scrambled up some eggs, perfect to a fault
With a little dash of pepper, and a sprinkle of salt

I cooked it all for you, beyond your wildest wishes
Now I'm goin' back to bed, you can do the dishes

the "you can do the dishes" line cracks me up every time.

the loosely tight funk groove makes me smile.
