I don't think we ever posted this here. Just caught it at EPS.
Drums, bass, rhythm guitars, Bridge leads, engineering - Nick Testa
Vocals, guitar Solo - John van den Oetelaar
Word & Music - Errol Chugg (and a small bit of one handed odd keyboard playing)
The Winds Can Change (http://ruggedsidekick.com/chesooks/WindsCanChange.mp3)
Cottonwood swirls drift with the breeze
Joining as one through the air
While my heart whirls beneath the trees
Absorbing the warmth that's there
And then the winds can change
To take it all away
Oh yes the winds can change
Like they did only yesterday
Tendrils of cold seek out my soul
My senses are numbed with pain
I cover myself to hide from it all
Yet I can't stop the rain
But then the winds can change
To take it all away
Oh yes the winds can change
Like they did only yesterday
Through it all only love remains
(love)
From pain to hope or hope to pain
But then the winds can change
To take it all away
Oh yes the winds can change
Like they did only yesterday

"a small bit of one handed odd keyboard playing"
How's that for an achievement - most keyboard players need 2 hands!! :D
Good to see this listed here. I thought it already was. :)

At first I did not like the vocals with flange at the start but then they were cool later.
The more you listen the more you get the feeling this is yet another fab mix of Nicks.
As always nice guitar solo and I liek the percussion too. Great ending...
Those lyrics are interesting. Could of had some windws blowing in there but it would have made mixing a little had to focus and stay still.
Cool Work. 8)

thanks!!!
This one was a lot of fun to work on.

A song with references to a day a little over a year ago and feelings over the last 20 years.
I guess that is what a lot of our music is all about.

Yes it is Errol!
This is one of those songs I heard "finished" the first time I listened to the rough. The original is a great tune and I had a fun with the production. Ootle always makes the vox interesting and the solo guitar just rips. I love how "strange" the bridge turned out.
Thanks for all the comments!
