To Sir With Love
Those schoolgirl days, of telling tales and biting nails are gone,
But in my mind,
I know they will still live on and on,
But how do you thank someone,
Who has taken you from crayons to perfume?
It isn't easy, but I'll try,
If you wanted the sky I would write across the sky in letters,
That would soar a thousand feet high,
To Sir, with Love
The time has come,
For closing books and long last looks must end,
And as I leave,
I know that I am leaving my best friend,
A friend who taught me right from wrong,
And weak from strong,
That's a lot to learn,
What, what can I give you in return?
If you wanted the moon I would try to make a start,
But I would rather you let me give my heart,
To Sir, with Love

I could tell on myself, and say that I remember going to the movies to see it, when it came out... And, I wasn't a baby then... ::)
And, being able to compare in my mind, I'll say well done...

Good job everyone, lovely vocals Ali

I have to admit I didn't expect anything close to Lulu's version. But you guys proved me wrong. Great job by everyone, especially Ali Kat's vocals.
This one's a keeper.

This sounds great, Nick!
Ali, you are sounding so good here :)
good job, everyone!

thanks guys!

Wow! This is a splendid cover. Ali, your vocals are soaring here - reminds me somewhat of a young Helen Shapiro?
Excellent production I had to listen to it a couple of times to note all that went on....sterling stuff indeed!
BTW - My oldest sister Linda, went to school with Lulu....ok that's her claim to fame.
Aidan.

Great job Nick! :) :) :) True to the original but with that contemporary "Testified Sound" ;) Ali really impresses me on this one, given this song predates her by a generation or two! :) Someone send the link to Lulu, she'd be proud!

Yes this came out real nice and I like the vibe.
I think the only thing I sort of don't like is the strings. REAL ONES
would work better. The organ is real nice. Gives a real nice feel and helps the tune out.
The drums are tights and on the money. Nice vocals Ali. Go ahead and knock them out. 8)
The bass is pro (Dave) and works great.
Over-all great mix and great work.
This is a real beautiful song too.
Congrats everyone

Thanks Marc and rob,
I really enjoyed this. Having great players and Ali on vox made the song a joy to produce!
