So many to choose from.....Guess it depends on what feature set you need and how much you wanna spend.

Step up to one of the RME fireface interfaces.

I've been drooling over those for a while now, they look good.

What happened to the 1010 Ray?

What is your target price budget for a new interface?

I'm guessing from doing a little online research that I have the older version where the caps in the breakout box burn out

its a $60 to $120 fix, if thats the problem.. from what I'm reading though its an on going problem even after repair
m-audio used to have a lifetime warranty on these puppies.. they changed there minds.. so now I guess I've changed my mind on there products.

I'll check out the RME fireface

Cassette tape? Sorry I could not resist. I have a delta 66 that I'm not using...

Ha ha no thanks! still have my Tascam 144 machine in the closet
I'm through with m-audio so I'll pass on the delta 66 thanks anyway..

I can still use my soundcard, I have some cheap ass MS40's that just happen to have digital in's on them so I can still use my delta 1010 card till I find something better.. so I can stay in the 24/96 realm :)

I'd like lots more ideas on which way I should go.. $1,500 dollar range

MOTU hardware is fantastic if you're in that price range I would consider it for sure.  Great pre's, great monitoring software and great tech support :)

How many ins/outs you need?

I use a Presonus Firepod and have been very happy with it. Nice preamps. Firewire interface.

Thanks guys, I'm just getting it repaired for now, I'm going most likley MOTU, I was originaly going to go for MOTU but chose to skimp a little, now I regret it

I own a Tascam 2488 as well but I sure love to mix on my pc with my BCF2000 & Sonar

Well I sent a scolding letter to m-audio Canada about there lifetime warrany that died a few years ago..

I recently got a reply saying they would still replace it if I had all my paper work, Yaa! I was this close to just sending it out to the local music store for repair

my receipt for the m-audio actually faded to nothing but Long & Mcquade already emailed me a copy :)
So I guess I'm still happy with m-audio...... FOR NOW  ^-^

Honestly, I'd go Motu or RME. Round trip latency is excellent.

If I had to choose, I'd go RME. Great drivers. Great unit all round.

Both are excellent, though.

I've got two 1224 MOTU interfaces that I'm having trouble getting up and running with Vista
I haven't had much time to play with Vista but so far I don't like it
Might have to switch my laptop to XP
What version of Sonar do you have?
