Title: Faded
Post by: Studioplayer on March 05, 2008, 01:02:09 AM
Alright !! Another song done.  :) and this one has been well worth the wait. I really have to give special thanks to all who have participated in this song. Especially to Curtis for transforming one of my simple tunes into something really special and to CosmicDolphin for giving us such a beautiful master. Actually to all the guys (and gal). This is one of those songs where everyones part is really outstanding and wouldn't work as well without their additions. Every instrument and every voice really stands out. If you made a mistake your going to hear it.  ;D Man, I'm always amazed at the talent on this site and I think this song really shows it. Pretty cool !!  8)

Can you tell I like this song?  :)

Really guys. THANKS for all the help. I think this one's a real jewel.  8)

I'll send a PM to those who would like a hi-res master with a link.

Dave

Faded

I remember back when I was young
outside behind the barn
I gave that girl a bright red string
she wore around her arm
but that was then those days are gone
and things they always change
and like the string around her arm
the color fades away

Walking through the shadows
the sun behind me falls
forget about the times that passed
I forget about it all
life begins to fade away
like faded memories do
yesterday is gone...and faded

The photographs still hang there
The smiles now so pale
hearts no longer reaching out
no stories left to tell
future dreams and destined plans
have found another place
like the photos on the wall
they always fade away

Walking through the shadows
the sun behind me falls
forget about the times that passed
I forget about it all
life begins to fade away
like faded memories do
yesterday is gone...and faded

Can somebody tell me
where everything has gone
the memories are all faded
but the feelings still hang on

Walking through the shadows
the sun behind me falls
forget about the times that passed
I forget about it all
life begins to fade away
like faded memories do
yesterday is gone...and faded

Everything is gone....and faded

Nice song and good job everyone. There's something very familiar about those keyboard and bass sounds ;)( those guys do get around). This has a very polished and professional quality to it. Very tight.

Nice!

You just can't go wrong with a line up like this song has.

Outstanding, I wish I'd have been anound while it was in early production, I'd have been right in the middle of it. Ya gatta love those faded photos hangin on the wall, huh Curtis.  8)

Mercy!  I want to be in the room with everyone who had a hand in this!  Where is that steel player hiding?
Steel guitar is my favorite instrument....and cello....and others.

Thanks Danna, I was listening to some of your tunes on Soundclick. Your welcome to jump in on a song anytime. VERY nice voice!!  8) Yeah. Where are all those steel players? Hard ones to find. Trying to get one on 'Professional Virgin' that we're working on in 'Studio A'. This is TomD playing on this tune. He pops in here once in awhile. Nice touch isn't it.  :)

Tom.... We need ya in 'Studio A'  :'(
