Hi:
Here are the lyrics:
She Looks Fine
(INTRO)
My girlfriend's screamin, "Walk a mile in my shoes.
These clackers they clack, they're hurtin' my back."
(V1)
She says I stare when she walks by
Those clackers they clack, they've caught my eye
She wears those clackers from noon to nigh
Boy, oh boy, they've caught my eye
(V2)
Would I look at her when she walks by
In her bedroom slippers eatin' apple pie
Would I look at her if she ran past
In her dirty white sneakers smellin' like trash
(CHORUS)
But boy, oh boy, she looks fine
Boy oh boy, I'll give her some wine
Cause her feet are hurtin'
She needs to sit down
Her back's a breakin'
She's beginnin' to frown
(V3)
She double dares me to walk a mile in her shoes
Double dares me, I'll be wearing the blues
When I've got ten blisters and I'm sliding in the rain
When my back is a breakin' I'll feel her pain
(V4)
Every man should walk a mile in those shoes
So we understand what they're going thru
So I put on her clackers, I felt ten feet tall
King of the world, the hell with being small
(CHORUS)
Boy, oh boy don't I look fine
Boy oh boy, gimme some wine
Cause my feet are hurtin'
I need to sit down
My back's a breakin'
I'm beginning to frown
(BRIDGE)
My girlfriend don't double dare me no more
I wear her clackers when I go for a stroll
Boy oh boy I'm looking fine
I'm still a man's man, a regular guy
My girlfriend don't double dare me no more
If I can't wear clackers, I wear nothing at all
(CHORUS)
Boy, oh boy don't I look fine
Boy oh boy, gimme some wine
Cause my feet are hurtin'
I need to sit down
My back's a breakin'
I'm beginning to frown
(CHORUS)
But boy, oh boy, she looks fine
Boy oh boy, I'll give her some wine
Cause her feet are hurtin'
She needs to sit down
Her back's a breakin'
She's beginnin' to frown

:) congratulation to this nice song. great job everybody! I love it. :)

LMAO! This song popped into my head for some reason so I just had to bump it. One of my first lyrics - I think my style has changed somewhat!!!!
-
One of your first, really? I had no idea. It was funny to see all the guys pass on this because they didn't want to sing about, umm, wearing women's shoes. I do have this on my pages, but sometimes I have to wonder what people are thinking about me ;D

Seems like yesterday! :)

Hi Stonman very cool song I like it a lot :). I'm playing it for a second time now great music, great vocals, and great lyrics :). I'm playing this song more this evening. Everyone did a fantastic job! Thank you Stonman your friend Jimmy.
-
Well Mark, I think you did terrific and pulled it off :). And I think you were very brave to sing this - kudos. I'm sure most people wouldn't think anything of it unless you have a whole series of these songs :o :o, ;D
-
Nice bump, thanks, folks! :)
There is a newer, slightly better mix at my web site:
http://stoman.org/download/Mark_Lee_Fletcher_She_Looks_Fine.mp3
That's still not a good mix though. I'll do it again once my room is better suited for mixing. I have already rearranged the furniture, but I haven't installed any absorbers/diffusors yet.
And, btw, I agree that Mark's interpretation of the song is great. And I do like the lyrics too. :)
Regards,
Steffen

Great song, I don't look in this section of the site enough, I'm missing some great stuff. Casia I think you could write a song about anything ;D and probably have ;D ;D. Great vocals Mark 8) and Steffen you have this sounding worthy of a place on any Steely Dan album. Superb performances from everyone on this.
Nice bump, thanks, folks! :)
