...And yet, another small nugget has passed through the Sewer Pipe ;D
This one is entitled "Minute To Midnight", and before you ask...no..it's not about the world economy ;D (although it actually does factor in there at some point...the minute to midnight thing refers to the doomsday clock).
This was conceived years ago, but, as always, the boys and CD have put their stamp on it..was alot of fun! :)
Keep Rockin'!

Minute To Midnight (Cright/Daniels)
The clock keeps on ticking,as the world goes rushing by
And we all keep on thinking, that we're really going to try
It's a minute to midnight, I better think of something soon
It's a minute to midnight, we all have so much to lose
Going through life with blinders on,seeing only what you want
There's no life that lasts forever, only my own dreams count
It's a minute to midnight, I better think of something soon
It's a minute to midnight, we all have so much to lose
Sailing fast to our destruction, driving down hells' highway
There's nothing left behind you,the time is catching up to truth
It's a minute to midnight, we better think of something soon
It's a minute to midnight, we all have so much to lose

Very nice guys! What a surprise! I was expecting a heavy metal song like 2 Minutes to Midnight (Iron Maiden) for some reason. ::) :)
-
a great track - super singing and playing f(guitar/bass/keys/drums) rom everyone involved!!
i love the fact that the song packs in everything i love about classic rock. i still detect a wishbone ash feel in it.
now we shall wait for the NEXT hit single:)
cheers

Thanks Tricia and Andy (our 2 biggest fans...gotta include Dave as well! ;D ;D).
There should be another mix being added to this at some point, being done up now by one of Todd's connections in New York somewhere..we'll need some mix comments when it's up.
Quite a few awaiting mixing and completion to be posted, most are on the tame side not to offend anyone, although I'm currently tracking a demo for the boys which is an ear splitting hard rocker, and Tricia (and the wife the wife for that matter) will want to clobber me when they hear the lyrics...kind of your average vulgar male chauvanistic hi-tetsterone based "boys club" rocker...we can do those too ya know! ;D
Cheers!

Well I won't read the lyrics then ;D
I'm waiting patiently for The Bow Wave song. :)

;D ;D ;D Yeah, block your ears while you're at it! ;D Bow Wave is in the hands of our faithful and telented producer, I believe...check out Steve's video on the thread, on the boat he wrote the song about...makes you want to go on vacation!

;D ;D Thanks Paulo, know what you mean bro...start working on some new original riff, all excited, get 3/4 of the tune done, then realize I'm ripping something off that was done 30 years ago (100 is OK, they can't sue you :))..then hit the delete button! ;D ;D

There's enough to see me through to the next eight versions of Sonar and three versions of Windows, two new PC's and maybe another wife :o

Really nice guys! Haven't been around much and didn't even know what the sewer pipe thing was all about. I'll keep an eye out from now on. Nice work.

Quality song guys.
I love the retro feel.... the sound is so warm. Everything compliments each other and that is a mark of players who are on top of their game. The vocals really stand out..........superb.
When this album gets done.....I'll check my somewhat lacking finances and treat myself to a copy (signed by all those involved of course.... ::)).
Splendid! ;)
Aidan.

me too.. i would buy this album as soon as its out..the real Cd too.. not a mp3 download.

Andy

Excuse me folks... What's that album you're talking about? I'm missing something here for sure... Of course I was already scratching my head about so many folks saying "Thanks" and I was wondering why :D

Hey Guys
I just noticed the sound quality didn't sound right on the original file posted.
I'm guessing the original MP3 has been re-encoded again as Marc made an edit which was my fault for missing the tail of the count in at the start.
Here is the MP3 in better quality....and I've fixed the start now.......Please use this one.....Your Ipod will thank you ;D
Should sound clearer , more detailed and louder now ::)

I agree... great mix, even better than the last :)
-
Thanks Mark, copied it the first post as well..big difference, really clear..can't improve that too much I would think..waiting to see the pro mix out of interest. ???
Just struck me..this thing clocks in at almost 10 minutes..guess the SPB #1 will have to be a double album ;D (or do like GNR and release 2 at the same time and charge double! ;D (or like the new GNR one, same album with 3 different covers for over $100, I bet, since AC/DC is releasing the same time, the delete bins will be full of the new GNR in another year! ;D ;D)
-
Jeez..with all the Sewer Pipe work I had given up watching the other forums, and missed that this was posted in finished tracks.
I loved playing on this one, like all the other SPB tracks.
Quality song guys.
I love the retro feel....
It's not retro, its modern. We only just finished it. ;)
Are we old fashioned? I don't know because there's nothing in my record collection newer than 1980, so I dont know what modern stuff sounds like. I gave up buying records when those blasted CD things came out. They're nowhere near as good as the old 33's - I cant get them to play on gramaphone properly - the needle keeps slipping off :'(

-
Guitargeorge, you are a comedian. ;D
-
You maybe need a new stylus George, or you're not playing them with the shiny side up (an easy mistake to make)! :)
They also tend to like around 2000 rpm, you maybe will need a new drive belt and gearbox, but it is still possible :D :D :D
