Title: The Contractor
Post by: Songwriter on November 24, 2008, 01:35:14 PM
Here is an old song written by John Schick and I. It is about a hired Mafia killer. It's entitled "The Contractor".  Enjoy. Feedback welcome. Sung by Myles Loud

He didn't know his children, and never met his wife
It really doesn't matter, when  paid to take a life
He knows his name was "Tony", from Casablanca Drive
And widows do get lonely
In truth, they do survive

The shot was somewhat chilling, he was sitting in his yard
And just before the killing, he found him playing cards

Another one hundred thousand,
Another trip to France
The drinking and the browsing
The music and the dance

They text a new assignment, two hundred grand this time
And this one must be silent, a body they won't find
He mails "Mrs. tony", a check for fifteen grand
A little absolution, is always in his plan

Another one hundred thousand,
Another trip to France
The drinking and the browsing
The music and the dance
