Title: Fading Fast
Post by: Eugene Lyricist on March 27, 2009, 07:42:03 AM
I thought I would share this one with you all.

Lyrics: Eugene Lyricist
Vocal/Guitar: Clint Morrison

Fading Fast

V1
Have you ever seen me
a one arm Vet living in the streets
Have you ever said hi or hello
asking about my story's yet untold
knowing you'll just walk on by
never even say goodbye

V2
clothes found on the streets
ratted, matted with many stains
knowing I'm not seen as a Vet anymore
but as homeless on the streets
hungry and cold; it wasn't my defeat

Chr
like photographs withering away
our American war Vets, fading fast
forgetting us after all is done
for free-dom in the past
protected! by our Vets

V3
the paper you read today
will be my blanket keepin' me warm tonight
laying beneath it's black letters
half eat'en food
will later become my dinner
I can't ask for anything else anyway

V4
I did my best to protect us all
now drinking myself away
so who's fault is it when I fall
on the streets you walk down for free
maybe I wouldn't be living this way
if someone would just listen yesterday

Chr
like photographs withering away
our American war Vets are fading fast
forgetting us after all is done
for free-dom in the past

like photographs withering away
our American war Vets are fading fast
forgetting them after all is done
for free-dom in the past
protected! by our Vets

Thank you Nick.

The Military Album is coming a long. Just another 6 songs to go. LOL.

I'm hoping to be able to release two full albums this year. Well three if I count the firefighter charity album.
A military album and my own album called Dreams.

Thanks for checking it out Cd. I like acoustic and he works with me really well, but might add some drums with Mr.Wooten later down the road.

Thank you yes he should play good and sing good. Clint is a session player in Nashville.

Thanks all for checking it out.

make sure you check out Book's For Poverty and What Do You Think.

Very nice! :)

Yes, I'd like to hear the song build up too - but I wouldn't make it a full-grown "rock song".  I think it is already very close to complete.

Very good voice indeed. :)

Regards,
  Steffen
