Jennifer
Jennifer, your smile beguiles and leaves me feeling warm inside
Jennifer, my life's on hold until the day that you are mine
If only you could be
A moment of love for me
For you I'd make a wish
For only a wish could make this
Jennifer, more than just a friend
Jennifer
Day by day I'll chip away at the wall you've built around you
I'll scale the heights, I'll wait in vain
Anything that it may take
And all the while you haven't a clue
Of all the feelings I have for you
Shakespeare couldn't describe
The thoughts that I have inside
When You're in the same room
My soul feels so alive
And like the sun reflected
I'm blinded by your light
Jennifer, more than just a friend
Jennifer
I try to make you see
But you never notice me
Jennifer

Well done guys!!
An enjoyable listen....quite a complex melody though.
Orchestration/Arrangement is top class too.
And Steffen I think you sneaked in a Sitar sample towards the end:).
The mix sounds early 70s folk rock.
Cheers
Andy
PS - you didnt credit the vocalist - its Billy i know:)
-
Thanks, Andy!
Early 70s folk is exactly what I was aiming at! :)

Yes, I like it. It has a strange eclectic mix of sounds almost 'hippie' which Steffen does so well. ;)

Bumping this up for those looking for songs with Marc playing bass.
It was the first song we collaborated on, IIRC.

Nice tune Steffen. Kind of has a 60's flavour to this. Billy did a great job on the vocals. Marc on Bass. Nice!! 8)

Steffen that is so hippie! On the 2nd listen I had to dig out my aging Kaftan and light up one of those "funny" cigarettes :) Excellent musicianship by everyone involved too.

Great Stuff...If I heard it on the radio I'd assume it was an old track
I expect to see her running over a hillside in soft focus wearing Flares and a hippy bandanna.

Hi Steffen :)
I think this one I don't have a link in Marc's page. Do you have it somewhere where people can click and play? I'll share on Marc's facebook page if you do...
Thanks :)

Hi, Dany!
Sorry for being late with my response - it was a busy weekend.
I think I sent you a link to the remixed version of "Jennifer" on my web site. You can link to that. Even if the file changes, the link will remain the same as it is a symbolic Unix link.
Here it is again: http://stoman.org/download/Billy_Playle_Jennifer.mp3
