Going With The Flow
(Paul Dempsey, 2008)

A montage of faded photos
All so perfectly arranged
Some friends are gone
And others have changed

Suspended moments in time
Flashes of frozen faces
Some from hard to
Remember places

   Yesterdays lack detail
   They're just small traces
Of things he used to know
   But like a mountain
   Where heavy winds blow
   He's still standing
   Going with the flow

And he knows he can't go back
There are no steps to retrace
The only roads in front of him
Are the ones etched in his face

And the reckless young man
That once wore his shoes
May now be a bit lonely
And somewhat confused

But he's a mountain standing tall
   Facing the setting sun
   And there'll be no regretting
   When this day is done

   Yesterdays lack detail
   They're just small traces
Of things he used to know
   But like a mountain
   Where heavy winds blow
   He's still standing
   Going with the flow

Regards,
  Steffen

Great job everyone, I thoroughly enjoyed working on this song especially as it was my MCS apprenticeship. Special thanks to Steffen for being so patient and helpful as I was learning the ropes....

Mike

Nice one Steff!  8)

I see (hear) that you were going for that 'big wide' sound....almost cinematic. Lovely performances from everyone especially the vocal. You don't often hear a voice like that which is a shame.

My only complaint is that you ended the song far too early..... and with a fade out  :(

I still thought it was good listening though.  ;)

Billy.

Thanks, folks! :)

I did an alternative, cleaner "nature mix". What do you think?
