Title: A Slow Walk Home (Jazz - one of the few jazz songs that I've done)
Post by: Casia - lyricist on July 03, 2009, 09:48:42 AM
It's A Slow Walk Home
Casia:  original lyrics (Canada)
Terry McCullough:  vocals and mod. Lyrics (USA)
Bjorn Pehrson  upright Bass (Sweden)
Sven-Martin Keil:  saxophone, piano, drums (USA)

(V1)
It's gonna be a slow walk home tonight
You really caught my eye
No way, no how I'm gonna walk on by
Without saying hello
Just one time before I go
It's a slow walk home

(V2)
It's gonna be a slow walk home tonight
Time is standing still
I gaze at your taunting lips
Dream you were in my spell
One tender touch is all that it would take
To give me that achey-breaky
It's a long, long, long, long
Long slow walk home

solo

(Outro)
It's gonna be a slow walk home tonight
Temptations setting in
I always want what I can't get
Without saying hello

OH yeah! This is my cup of tea.  8)

Doesn't Terry sound a little like a young Nat King Cole?

I enjoyed the listen but what a perculiar ending.  ???

Thanks for sharing Casia.

Billy.

Thanks gbm, Tricia and Billy:

It was a very peculiar ending wasn't it, lol!  That's what I thought.  I think I'll pass that critique along.  The singer kinda looks like Nat King Cole too  :)
