Bobby got me thinking about my serious music on his website.
Here's the same post I posted on CC:
Here's a Suite in four movements I composed the day after 911. I suppose it was my way of finding some peace in the midst of such horror. Cal recently re-ignited my heartfelt feelings and sadness towards the victims of 911 with his moving lyrics title "Ground Zero".
911 Suite (Four Movements)
1. Dawn's Early Light (the morning after)
2. Reality Strikes
3. Such Deep Sadness
4. Move to the Light

Another nice one John... :)
Have you had an opportunity to do any since you aquired the Yamaha Workstation?

Thanks Bobby.
I've been so busy writing songs I haven't had time to record in more depth (production-wise). When I retire I'll start recording more soundtrack music. ::)
I'm embarrassed to say I've only learned the bare essentials of the Motif workstation. I haven't even used samples yet. I have some great piano and string samples I could be using. :-[
I'll get there sooner or later.
Best, John :)

This is great, John. Oh well, I think it is :), but maybe i'm an old fart.
Love the toy music box. So inocent inside the whole arrangement.

As much as I don't want to admit it, I still can't write anything which truly expresses what I feel about 9-11. It's almost too big for me to handle.
