My cousin says this is the best song he has heard from me. So I think it is a good one to be dedicated to Marc Traynor and his family.
Lyrics: Casia
Vocals: Mark Lee Fletcher
Guitars: Andrew Doherty
Bass: Marc Traynor (1962 - 2010)
Drums: Gerald Langenfeld
Composed, arranged & mixed by Steffen Offermann
Thanks to all who participated in the production of this song!

After some comments from another site I changed a couple of minor things in the mix and master. It sounds a little more brilliant now, but at the same time warmer.
Edit: Removed old files

Sounds great Steffen. Love it when the guitars kick in. Drums are really good! Great job on the vocals Mark. Yeah.. this is a little different for you Steffen. A bit more rock than usual. Nice one!! 8)

Hey this is a great song! I'm in love with that reggae beat going on in there ;D
-
Thanks, Dave and Mick!
Yes, this is a bit different than my usually stuff. But I hope do some more of that.
Did you listen to the final master?

Steffen

Hi Steffen:
I'm thrilled ... the intro is much more dramatic. A job very, very well done. I'll be reposting this song on my sites for sure.

Thank you Steffen.... just found this here.
Every single one of you that gives a second of thought towards my Marc is considered family... and if you did have the opportunity to know Marc, even in the virtual world, you know WE mean it.
Thank you,
Hugs

Thanks, Dan - but you probably listened to the old mix. :)
Never mind. I'm posting another tiny update now anyway. ;)

Very well done guys!

Thanks, Jay! This song is demanding in every respect. My computer would probably die if there was just one track more in the mix. ;)
I bought some new software recently an was finally able to get rid of some of the problems that I had with this mix (disturbing resonances, boomy bass and drums, etc.).
This MIGHT be the final version ... but you never know ... ;)
I removed the attached file and only left the link to the latest version of the song at my web site in the first post.

Steffen

I didn't realize you had reworked this so much, Steffen. The intro section is way different with the effects and alternate vocals. I like it :)
-
I don't know if its your best song Steffen, but its a masterpiece, that's for sure. Your latest mix sounds great!
The music and also the arrangement supports the great lyrics and Marks vocals are terrific.
Kudos guys!

Thanks, Mark and Holger!

This is really great.....I didn't expect to enjoy it that much based on the firstminute but once everything kicks in it hooked me in .
I can't decide which mix I prefer, maybe slightly more the first one although it had a slight brittle edge to it which my headphones here tend to emphasize.....there's several commercial CD's that have the same effect.....after the third listen I think you had the bottom end better on the first version.
It was nice to hear Marc play bass on something I'd not heard...made me remember why I loved his playing. Oh and great vocals by the other Mark
My favourite Steffen song yet for sure.
