I wanted to do some more with this but I can't bear to leave it sitting any longer. This song began life here in 2007 in Musical Opinions. It's about a pact I once made with two friends.
I have to say, I couldn't have asked for more from this crew. John's pounding drums, Dave's dead-on bassline, and Doc's furious solo really made this song rock!

This track has issues. It was played on the IMW radio show and the drums and bass seemed to push the guitars and vocals way back in the mix. The song seemed to be completely destroyed by whatever compression was being applied to that radio feed. The thing is, the rock tracks from the other artists sounded great. Really had me stumped until I realized theirs were probably mastered.
So either the mix needs work or it just needs mastering, but which?

Mark , I always enjoy your songs & your singing - this is another good one that I really like.
Something is definitely not 'right' with the mix compared to your other songs. It almost sounds like you have something in there that's out of phase.. If you're interested in me remixing it give me a holler.

Not sure what more you could have done to this. Maybe some keys but it's pretty cool a little more sparse. Very cool tune Mark. Nice one bro. The bass & drums are pounding and that solo is killer. Vocals are great !! My kind of music. 8)

Mark can you go through your seps and filter out all the unneccesary stuff and upload them all together somewhere...John is going to retrack so we can have some drum seps too so be nice to have everything sorted and cleaned up :)
