This is a version that I can listen to :) Jay did a fantastic vocal job on this along side Micks brilliant guitar work...I have spent a bit of time with further track development and overall I am very pleased with the result
The original song came from an odd little song that bugged me for years every time I picked up an acoustic guitar so it is brilliant to get not one but two versions recorded
Vocals - Jay (HDA)
Electric Guitar - Mick (Mickbrit55)
Music/Lyrics/Drums/Guitar/Vocal/Keys/Prod - Ian (Stonehead)
That Girl Shines - Burrage 98
V1
I love that girl over there
That girl shines
That girl shines
Her clothes her face the way she wears her hair
That girl shines
That girl shines
But I hate the way she looks through me
V2
If God made me blind I still could see
That girl shines
That girl shines
I'd be the ground she walks and the air she breathes
That girl shine
That girl shines
But I hate the way
yes I hate the way
I hate the way she looks
(Through Me)
V3
I need that girl Over there
That girl shines
That girl shines
I'd die for one look glance or stare
That girl shines
That girl shines
But I hate the way
yes I hate the way
I hate the way she looks
(Through Me)

Interesting song and really well played.
I would say a tad more bottom end on the mastering would shine it to perfection ;)

Cheers Roger :)
Thanks for the feedback CD ...This is the first track on new monitors and I was disturbed just how dull they made everything sound...I think I have gone a little the other way now so I will have to learn to compromise...I think I will post a tweaked mix over the weekend
Ta Ian :)

Cheers Roger :)

Yeah it's actually a little bright on my system , but it was the lack of bass that was more apparent.
What monitors did you get ?

MMmmmm...I need to buy some studio monitors....I have been using a set of hand built monitors from a local engineer but the woofer cones have taked a real battering and the outer rings have started breaking free.... so I have a set of small high quality Yamaha hifi speakers that boast "Natural Sound" but I'm sure they have the usual artificial bass boost which is disappointing but they will have to do for a while...I just need to listen to some ref material for a few hours....money is very VERY tight at the moment and I dont want to waste money on poor performing monitors so any suggestions would be appreciated. ::)

I was just reading about the A7's, they look pretty cool. At B&H you can buy a used pair for $375.
