Title: Lonely Hearts In Lonely Clubs
Post by: Casia - lyricist on June 07, 2010, 12:09:19 PM
I've had the opportunity to work with Judy Teo through a collaborator.  She is going to be recording a second song for me this week.

Born in the soul capitol of the midwest (Fond-Du Lac, Wisconsin), Judy hit the road at a young age, touring with a band from her hometown. Settling in Boston, she has brought her sweet soulful voice to such legendary Boston bands as Gypsy, Goodnight Louise, Bijou, and many others. She has performed with international stars such as Maxine Nightingale, and performs regularly at the House of  Blues gospel brunch with the gospel group Rev. Lee Mitchell & Co. She is also regularly called on to back up many of the legends of  doo-wop and rock and roll at major oldies concerts around New England.  She just got back from performing on a cruise ship and came across my lyrics.  She says she loves them and wants to collaborate more!!

Lonely Hearts in Lonely Clubs
Casia - Lyrics
Don Tony - Music and Mix
"Sweet Judy Teo" - Vocals
Bernd Kunrath - Guitar

(V1)
Satin sheets under the stars
The passin' sound of passin' cars
Windows wide; the moon shines in
The rhythm of skin...on skin
Whoow Ooooo Ohhho

(V2)
Don't think about the days to come
Our lover's hearts won't beat as one
Come and share my emptiness
Forget the words we left unsaid
Ooooh whoow Ooooo

(CHORUS)
Lonely hearts in lonely clubs
Lookin' for a little love
Strangers touchin' in the night
In the morning we're all outta sight
Moving on with no regrets
One night without loneliness
Just one night, just one night
One night without loneliness

 Solo

(V3)
Take me now I need your touch
Your lips to mine would mean so much
A twist of fate to get me by
Passion without compromise
Ooooh whoow Ooooo

(BRIDGE)
Two stranger's hearts bleed as one
For just one night while makin' love
Eyes wide shut to forget the pain
That drives our lonesome hearts insane
Eyes wide shut to forget the pain
Are those lonely clubs to blame
Oh, are the lonely clubs to blame

(CHORUS)
Lonely hearts in lonely clubs (lonely clubs)
Lookin' for a little love (a little love)
Strangers touchin' in the night
In the morning we're all outta sight
Oooooooo
Moving on with no regrets
One night without loneliness (loneliness)
Just one night, just one night (one night, one night)
One night without loneliness (loneliness)
Ahhhhhhh
Looking for a little love

WOW! What a great collaboration Casia. It's like you gave Don, Judy, and Bernard the canvas, paint, and brushes - and they made a beautiful portrait with the things you provided. Gonna go back for another listen.

Take care,

John

I agree, this is a perfect combination. Great vocals, indeed - and very nice, soft and smooth music.

Both thumbs up!

Regards,
  Steffen

Thank you both, I'm very happy with the way this one turned out.  This was one of my very first lyrics I ever wrote so it was nice to see it put to music.  I finally have some great women collaborators.
