Nice work Gene, sounds like you know a little (or can relate) about the life of a truck driver. I'm not a truck driver, but it was easy to feel like one - listening to this song. 8)

Thanks, John.
Yes, I did drive tractor-trailers when I was much younger and single.
Hauled household goods for North American Van Lines.
It was a tough job but it had its compensations, one of them being the number
of women that liked to open their tops and flash the truckers as they passed by.
It did pay well and I truly got to see America instead of just reading about it.

Met some very nice people along the way and saw some amazing sights, one of them being an accident I came upon in Indiana.  A tractor-trailer jack-knifed and rolled on the interstate. It was carrying live hogs to a slaughterhouse.
Imagine this view: Dead hogs lying on the road, injured and terrified hogs running in every direction and a state police officer standing in the middle of it all, scratching his head and probably wishing he'd called in sick that day.

Life is never dull. It can be interesting to the point of being terrifying, though.

LMAO - I was thinking of a slightly different perspective of the cop having a recurring nightmare of the accident - sometimes he's the cop (one form of pig) and other times he's the four-legged type. LOL

I live in NY, but it's the laid-back lakes and mountains part of NY - not the place everyone always think of when you say NY. ;D

John, you are not all that far from me. I live in Connecticut. On the shore. About a 75 minute drive from New York City. If you are ever traveling this way, let me know, and we can hook up for lunch and spirited conversation.

You got it Gene. I don't often wander far from home - I only have a small amount of bread crumbs! ;D

The invite applies to you also, if you find yourself "lost" up in my neck of the woods. :)
