I don't know if or when this will ever get mixed so I'm calling it done. It's kinda fallen to the wayside as mixers are hard to find. This is the acoustic version. Just noticed this isn't quite the final lyric :)

Excellent song A set of bongo and double the guitar you got a winner. No one wants to mix this why not? I have some free time after next week if you want me to give it a try let me know

Thanks, that would be great. I have a couple of mixers that are really good, but that's the problem....I'm in queu for maybe the end of August!! So, I'm putting out some of my songs anyways. I'll get the files up on a fileshare server and let you know where they are. May be early next week as some people are on vacation over the Canada Day weekend here.

This is a great song and fine performances..there really isn't much to mix and it sounds great as it is...If you have access to the vocal and guitar seperates (a BPM would be handy) you could open it as a new project here if want other intruments added...I can hear strings percussion and even flute parts ...but...this is a fine version as it is...just take the sync clicks off

oh what a great song and performance! Absolutely professional. I think it sounds perfectly and I cannot see a reason for another mix.
I had a lot fun playing with percussions along this song. Will upload it later.

Casia don't you remember we did a few collabs in the past. Bottleneck Jones was one and poison apple was another one. I love all the songs that we made together so far :)

Dark demons is not forgotten but I think it sleeps too deep and you have the great version with the femal vocals.
Some people told me that I should let it be but I think I would be able to sing it well.

LMAO Dave! A lot of "Take Me Backs" indeed hahaha! This particular composer likes repetition. He tends to do this with most of his songs. Nothing like driving the hook home hahahah. Or driving you crazy with it. The singer followed what the composer gave him :):).
No CD I didn't ask for help here. Nobody from here picked it up so it was completed off site.
I'm going to listen to your take now Holger :). Yes, Bottleneck Jones how could I forget. A very memorable collab indeed. Poison Apple kinda died. I think it's still sitting there waiting for somebody to do.

I will try and get ahold of the files and move everything here I think. If you have some other ideas I would certainly love for you to play around with them. It may take several days to get the files. I'm not a paying member of that particular group so I can only load and access pdf and mp3 files. I can't access the wav files so I'll have to get one of the promembers to put them on a file server for me to access.

I see that this song is dedicated to a city :)
There is a town called St. Augustin in Germany but I never was there ;D. But I was in St. Augustine, Florida, USA where I stud under a big big cross and thought "wow, what a place".
We were on the way from Jacksonville to Cape Canaveral and we took the time to visit St. Augustine.
Very interesting and important for the US history.

It's dedicated to St. Augustine. I did it for a festival I'm involved in, in May 2012. I was hoping they'd use if for their promotions. They like the song demo I sent but said it wasn't original enough :'( :'(. They said the best city song ever was the song for San Fransciso, can't remember the name.
But, if we can move this new to a new level, maybe they will change their minds. It's missing something in their mind.
The singer is on another site and, of course, is no longer available. He's is good and demand has caused him to turn down most of my requests. We've done four songs together but now he's off on his stuff :'( :'(. He's from Canada. Great singers are hard to find and harder to hold.

Casia I think the only reason is that he sings 100 times bring me back but only one or two times "St. Augustine" ;D

The players in the song thought "St. Augustine" should stay very subtle in the song. I did have it in the chorus and several places and it was taken out. I did ask the organizers and they also thought it should stay sutble. But I dunno, I honestly think it should be in there more. I would still like to do something with this because it has a great feel IMO.
I need your help here Holger. I still need to get the files...it .will take more time.
AND YES, that is definitely the song I'm talking about. I've never been to St. Augustine so obviously I had to use my imagination. I'm still listening to the video, I like the music on my version, maybe I need to re-write the lyrics and try and make it more meaningful. I need to google some pictures.
They thought my version sounded like a love song and not necessarily to a city - need some city elements. Name some places or something. I may be able to mention the oil spill LOL - has it hit their beautiful beaches, maybe!!!!!!
I'm pretty sure I can get Brooke to sing again if I make some lyrical changes.
