Did we feel like we lost control
searching for that missing piece
keeping us from asking the questions
that left us half of the whole

is there something we needed to prove
while we stood there in hesitation
leaving our passion out in the cold

when we just didn't see, feeling nonplussed
cause we didn't say what needed to be said

two in love, what we lost is found
See it for what it is and not just because
we paid the price, so no holding back
we can't give in, it's never too late
as we continue to write the story of us

expecting everything and feeling the effects
from all that we've been through
knowing what we know now, don't fight it, don't fight it
We can feel something happening here
whatever we need to make us complete

Hey Mike,
I love how you ended this one with "as we continue to write the story of us". It makes this one feel like it's just one part of an epic tale or trilogy.
This is a totally off the wall topic, but when I see something well-written, it's very easy to take "pieces" of the whole, and you can actually almost get a condensed version of the complete works. I just do stuff like that for fun, but here is yours.
Did we feel?
