"The Magic of Manhattan"
Lyrics: Cal Francis DiFalco
Music: John Lawrence Schick
There's a subtle doubt of circumstance
That lingers in this room
It seems our little "happenchance"
Ended all too soon
Yes, you walked right by me
As if I wasn't there
And still you can't deny me
That something's in the air
The magic of Manhattan
In the summer evening breeze
The Terrace over Paris
The calling of Belize
Our fantasies of Italy
The secrets that we shared
And so this little, "wait n see"
Is really au contraire
You're clever and you're cunning
Then again, you always were
Your dress is rather stunning
In the color I prefer
I see your curiosities
Twinkle in your glass
And you may be the end of me
But this won't be the last
No, this won't be the last
'Cause the magic of Manhattan
In the summer evening breeze
The Terrace over Paris
The calling of Belize
Our fantasies of Italy
The secrets that we shared
And so this little, "wait n see"
Is really au contraire

Nice one. Here and there the singer reminds me of Tony Benett. Maybe the tremolo in his voice, dunno

Thanks guys. We were shooting for Tony Bennett. I think there's some Sinatra there also.
Best, John :)
