Title: Jambalaya (Casia/Raul/Eddie/Scott)
Post by: Casia - lyricist on December 08, 2010, 07:09:30 AM
Jambalaya
Casia - Lyrics
Eddie Holmes - Composition
Scott W - Lead guitar
Raul Rodriguez Jr. - Vocals, mix and everything else

(V1)
Her name is Miss-Demeanor
A dark-haired senorita
When I saw those wild eyes
I knew I had to meet her

(Pre-chorus)
She took my heart
Tied it to a stake
Set me aflame
That's no mistake

(Chorus)
It's a Misdemeanor
What you've done to me
A misdemeanor
When you pulled me from the deep, deep freeze
A Misdemeanor
Now I'm cooking
Mixed into Jambalaya
Oh, Miss-demeanor
I'm Jamba, Jamba, Jambalaya

(Bridge)
Just take one bite
Take a bite
And Baby you'll know
You will know
I burn from the inside
My heart in tow

(V2)
Just cut up some peppers
Throw in oregano
Pour on the hot sauce
And oh I'm ready to go

(Pre-chorus)
She took my heart
Tied it to a stake
Set me aflame
That's no mistake

(Chorus)
Itsa Misdemeanor
What you've done to me
A misdemeanor
When you pulled me from the deep freeze
A Misdemeanor
Now I'm cooking
Mixed into Jambalaya
Oh, Miss-demeanor
I'm Jamba, Jamba, Jamba, Jambalaya

(Bridge)
Just take one bite -
Take a bite
And Baby you'll know -
You will know
I burn from the inside
My heart in tow

Oh, what have you done to me
Miss-Demeanor
Pulled me from the deep freeze
Miss-Demeanor
Misdemeano, misdemeanor, Oh, oh, oh

(Chorus)
Itsa Misdemeanor
What you've done to me -
A misdemeanor
When you pulled me from the deep freeze -
A Misdemeanor
Now I'm cooking
Mixed into Jambalaya
Oh, Miss-demeanor
I'm Jamba, Jamba, Jamba, Jambalaya

What's not to like about this? Great song and production, Ladies and Gentlemen!

This is a song we did last spring but it seems to suit the album so Raul did a remix as it was originally mixed by another mixer.  This is a fun one too that I'm considering sending to cooking shows with Saute Me, Baby  :D :D.

Shades of Santana. This is the only tune out of the bunch that I hear some distinctive guitar. It suits the rest of the music you posted but I sounds much thinner than the rest. A totally different mix. It would have to probably be looked at to fit with the rest of the songs on the album.

Thanks Dave.  I've been informed the file I grabbed isn't Rauls' mix  :D :D :D.  He agrees with you, it's kinda thin.  I'll post the proper one once I get it  ;D

Thanks Holger and Stoney.  I've just uploaded Raul's mix (the right one) as they one you were all listening to was somebody else's mix, an old version  :D :D

I'm just listening - ahhhh, much better  :)
