Title: Winter Chill - Christmas 2010 edition
Post by: stoman on December 24, 2010, 06:32:20 AM
I thought I'd post the completely new version of this old song. :)

I had to midify the bass due to some serious sound problems, and I haven't edited the result (no bendings and keyswitches). I'll do that for the 2011 version - which will, hopefully, be equipped with real lead guitars too. :)

Lyrics: Eugene Crider
Vocals: Alton Paul
Bass: Hazz (original version)
Composed, arranged & mixed by Steffen Offermann

Regards,
  Steffen

That smiley looks so sad.  :(
It just seems a little slow around here [as an aside, I can't believe Hold On doesn't have more attention yet].

Very well recorded and it sounds great.

Alton has a fantastic quality to his voice and he reminds me a lot of the most soulful singer on Casia's Christmas CD. But he doesn't seem completely comfortable with the lyrics yet it seems. You can sort of feel he's struggling with finding the phrasing a bit. I was waiting for him to really let it rip near the end and bring the energy up.

I'm glad you guys like this song. :)

Ian, the probability of me pushing it next December is very high. :) Hopefully with real guitars then.

  Steffen

Very nice Steffen. Unusual voice. I like it. It would go good on a Christmas CD.  :)
