Lyrics:

SHE'S MY LADY

[VERSE 1]
Have you seen my follicly challenged bride?
Hair pulled back so tight, with a chest one meter wide

[CHORUS]
She's my lady!!! She's my lady
She's my lady, my l-l-l-l-lady

[VERSE 2]
Walks like John Wayne, talks like Johnny Cash
Takes her lines and rhymes from Crosby, Stills and Nash

[CHORUS]
She's my lady!!! She's my lady
She's my lady, my l-l-l-l-lady

[VERSE 3]
So why cant you see?
She's as good as she can be
Got a heart like Ma Teresa
Aint no guy on earth can phaze her
Take a look, cant you see
She's as pretty as can be
Got a face like Mona Lisa
All she needs is some degreaser...

[CHORUS]
She's my lady!!! She's my lady
She's my lady, my l-l-l-l-lady
She's my lady!!! She's my lady
She's my lady, my l-l-l-l-lady

Jeez, I make some honest feedback comments and he cuts me out of the solo. :'( Hater of muddy mixes ? Ok... I guess I did overstate that.  ;D

Honestly it sounds good. Glad you made some decisions and saw it through. Good rockin' tune 8)

Sounds like a few firsts on this one - its the first thing I've ever written ;D

Dave - don't be downhearted about the solo. I love the tone of your guitar, I just liked what George played for this one. And you were right of course about the mud in that mix :)

A fun song. Congrats on your first write.  8)

Hi David!
Sorry, didnt get to listen to your latest mix till now. I think it's great, apart from the vocal being a bit too quiet. But then i would say that! Guitar solo is perfect.
Thanks for this, it was a fun project... not my usual style, but thats the good thing about collabs i always find, you try different things.

The vocal in the original post was a touch low as Paul has said. I've replaced the file (in the first post) with one with a better vocal balance.
BTW if anyone wants an ape let me know and I'll put it up.

Someone said in the introduction page that there's a lot of talent on this site, I think this song proves that, fine lyrics + good tune.

Ok Ok I'm convinced ;D

Seriously thanks for the nice comments. Being a novice writer I'm still a little unsure of myself. But I do intend to keep at it. I think the bug bit me :)

Paul- thanks for the compliments on the guitar solo.

All round a great song.

I never saw the faces, or small faces, but I did  see Steve Marriot (shortly before his untilmely fdeath) and he was great. David - I'd love to do more like this.

Hi David,

I heard this once before from you somewhere else, but again , it's a nice song.
I like the vocals and the honky tonk piano from Paulo.
Sounds a bit like southern rock of the 70-80'ties, right ?

Thanks for the kind words Steve. The song started and finished here at MC so I couldn't have played it before.
