Title: Teardrops from the sky
Post by: Captain fantastic on February 23, 2011, 01:05:20 PM
This was an old one of mine, but I wanted to see what you folks could do with this.Originally we had two sets of lyrics,One by Jfreed & the other by Casia,The latter was chosen, but there is no disrespect to jimmy here,he has been a valuable team player ,always coming up with the goods.Echoes of resonance sings,Preston plays bass,Jwoo bangs drums & I plink at a guitar. There are two versions here,a stripped down one & a full band one.here are two wma files & one ape of the stripped version.Criticisms welcome.

Hi Captain wow and many thanks. You know I really enjoyed watching this project with your cool music and Echo's terrific vocals and Casia's terrific lyrics. I played this song a few times this afternoon and I think it's cool  :). Everyone did a fantastic job! Thank you Captain your friend Jimmy.

Nice Captain,  :)

I like the vocal effects, how did you get that "phone" sound?
The middle break is kinda like a piece that the Monkeys would have done during their fantasy sequence they did every week in their TV show.

The phone effect was software,Waves L316 multimaximizer, its much easier these days to make strange effects....just click a button,I used to watch that show too.

Great job everyone! 8)

I heard this one in the earlier stages and thought it nice, but the "phone effect" really puts it over the top...Christina's take on the lyric is perfect.

Love the melody/lyric marriage here...Very inspired!...Johnny :)

This is very cool ..I love the open reverb sound ...it gives it a kind of dark feel and the spoken words work a treat ...very nice everyone

Thanks Stoney.  I consider this our experimental piece.  I'm liking it but it took awhile to get it under my skin. There are some really cool elements in it.

LOL, odd timing :):).  It's definitely unique.  It took me several listens to decide what I thought of it but it does become addictive after awhile.
