Started this one a long time ago. Began as a low key country ballad then Nick turned it into a Spaghetti Western which was far more fun and Bill finished it off with some rich vocals.
All instrumentation - Nick
Vocals - Bill
Words & Music - Chesook (Errol)
I know I need
To sit and think
But more than that
I need a drink
Inside my heart
There is a hole
That's only filled
By alcohol
She finally left me
To my lonely end
Now the bottle that is with me
Is my truest friend
I need to purge
My life away
So let me drink
Again today
For none of my hopes
Have come to pass
So again I fill
My empty glass
She finally left me
To a lonely end
Now the bottle that's with me
Is my truest friend, my only friend.

I love this song - singing it was all pleasure! (http://cwsongs.com/img/thumbup.gif)
And I still can't believe that someone actually wrote one in a range I could reach LOL! ;)
Ok with you if I post this at my cwsongs site? (http://cwsongs.com/img/hat.gif)

Great song guys, love the crystal clear clarity of this. Every word can be heard and understood, usually I need the lyrics posted to sing along. :) ;D

This is a sad little ditty.
Bill - your voice is very well suited to this and a fine performance, Sir.
Nick's done a marvellous job with the arrangement which gives Errol's lyric a perfect background.
Well done, gentlemen.
Billy.

I forgot about this!
Errols songs always made me think "what If?" We came up with some very fun stuff.
Thanks Errol for letting me experiment!
Nice job Bill. I could see you at the bar telling your sad story!

Yes, Nick this one, like a few others, was a lot of fun. Your 'what if' gave this tune a whole new dimension. Great to finally get it done.
Thank you!

Howdy Y'all
There was a time when "country music" was called "country & western music". This here song reminds me a the latter.
Back in the day, when the, "Sons of the Pioneers" and, "Eddie Arnold" were big-time, "chart toppers".
Sure nice ta hear that sound in a good ol' drinkin' song! Gotta good un here fellers. A real fine job, well done...Johnny
